- How do I pay for my flights?

- When do I pay for my flights?
Payment is required prior to tickets being issued, please also allow for time for transfers to be completed and cheques to be cleared. - Where is Club Travel?
Club Travel’s main office is located at Shop 8, 29 Strickland Street, Mt Claremont. Club Travel is currently also opening a shop that will be located in East Timor.
- At what age is someone eligible for a child airfare?
Children less than 2 years of age at the time of travel are referred to as 'infants' for the purposes of air travel. Children aged between 2 and 11 years of age at the time of travel are referred to as 'children' for the purposes of air travel.
- How do I find out about one of Club Travel’s specials?
Simply get in touch with one of our consultants and they will be able to help you with any enquiries, including any advertised specials. Contacting Club Travel is as simple as calling 9284 3223 or sending us a message through our contact page. - Why do I need travel insurance?
On even the most well planned out trip things can go wrong - such as theft or property damage, Travel Insurance can when things like this go wrong. For a full list of “What is covered” please check the Travel Insurance part of our website or enquire in store for one of our Travel Insurance Brochures.
- What is the luggage allowance if I am travelling to Europe via the United States or Asia?
In general for economy class, if you are travelling via the USA, your luggage allowance is 2 bags (each weighing no more than 32kg) per person. If you are travelling via Asia, you are limited to 20kg per person. These limits are subject to airline allowances of the airline, travel class and frequent flyer status. Please check directly with your airline or a Club Travel consultant.
- What if I have a criminal conviction?
Most countries will require you to have a Visa, please check with the embassy for Visa requirements. More Visa information can be found here: www.visalink.com.au
- My luggage has been damaged, what should I do?
You can contact the airline directly for help, or if you are covered you can make a claim against you insurance. Please refer to the terms of the policy for possible claims.
- What does Travel Insurance cover?

- I have a complaint, who do I contact?
Please feel free to contact one of our consultants and we will see what we can do to rectify the complaint.
- How much do I have to pay in departure tax?
Australian departure Tax is usually $38 and is included in the price of your Tickets Taxes. There may be entry or exit taxes based on the country of travel, that are not included in full price. Please enquire in store about any extra taxes that may need to be paid.
- How much currency can I take with me?
This is variable based on the country of travel, please enquire about your travel destination.
- How much cabin baggage can I take with me?
Every airline has there own baggage rules, enquiries can be made about specific airline or you are able to call the airlines directly.
- How long does it take to get an Australian passport?
In general it takes 10 working days to issue an Australian Passport, rush passports can be issued which will take up to 3 working days, but extra fees will apply.
- How do I pick up my airline Electronic Ticket?
Airline E-Tickets where introduced to prevent the old problem of “Oh no I forgot my ticket”. With E-Tickets, no physical ticket is issued to the passenger. Instead, the passengers travelling details are sent to the airlines system and they merely need to bring photo Identification, and Passport for International travellers.
- How do I make a claim on my travel insurance?
Please enquire in store for a claim form or alternatively Club Travel can make an enquire with the insurance company on your behalf.
- How can I check for travel warnings?
- Do I need a visa?
It depends on what passport you are travelling on, which country you are travelling to, and what type of visa you require. For the most up to date visa information, contact the consulate of the country or countries you are planning on visiting, or visit the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade website or www.visalink.com.au . Alternatively, please feel free to talk to one of the Club Travel consultants. - Can I use my Australian Drivers licence in other countries?
Yes, however in some countries you are also required to carry an international driving permit. Please send us enquire about the travel destination for further details.
- Can I take my pet on the flight?
Airlines have different rules and regulations about flying pets domestically and internationally. For more information please contact the airline you are travelling on or send Club Travel an enquiry regarding you particular destination.
- Can I request preferred seating?
Specific seating can be requested, these requests will be made with the airlines. Getting the specific seats is not guaranteed as it is based on the airlines response.
- Can I get parking at the airport?
Yes, price is based on the airport (international or domestic) and the length of stay. Please enquire at www.perthairport.com for more information.
- Can I book my flight with Club Travel using frequent flyer points?
Yes, although charges may apply.
- Can I arrange a special meal to meet my dietary requirements?
Yes, most airlines will cater to a wide variety of dietary requirements, please make the request while making the booking.
These questions relate ONLY to travel insurance offered by our preferred insurance provider - Composure Insurance. Other insurance plans may vary in detail.
- If a customer is going on a sporting holiday, is their equipment is covered?
Yes. Sporting Equipment is covered for loss or damage as part of the luggage up to the limit specified in the selected plan, but it is NOT covered when in use. Items included are surfboards, boogie boards, skis, snowboards and tennis racquets. Golf clubs are covered at the higher limit per plan. The Insurance Company will also pay for the hire of replacement golf clubs and ski gear in the event that equipment is delayed.
- If I am part of a professional sporting team, am I covered?
No. Hunting, racing other than on foot, professional sport, mountaineering or rock climbing using ropes or climbing equipment (other than hiking), pot holing or football or journeys over 8 weeks duration are NOT covered. - Does the Cancellation and Emergency Expenses Plan cover air tickets?
Yes. The Cancellation and Emergency Expenses Plan provides basic but essential cover for loss of non-refundable pre-paid travel arrangements as well as emergency expenses.
- If a disabled person is travelling, is their wheelchair covered?
Yes. The chair is covered under the luggage clause of the policy wording. The cover can be increased under the specified luggage section of the policy up to $4000 with the customer paying 4% of the total value additional premium. If the chair is worth more it should be covered under the travellers normal insurance policy not their travel insurance policy. - Are customers covered if war breaks out?
No. War, civil war, invasion, insurrection, revolution, use of military power or usurpation of government or military power are not insured under all sections of the policy. Any terrorist act or any loss arising out of the intentional use of military force to intercept, prevent or mitigate any known or suspected terrorist act is NOT covered. - Does the policy cover the collapse of a tour company?
No. Please refer to the policy wording outlining the regulations regarding the collapse of a tour operator. - If a customer is retrenched from their job are their cancellation fees covered?
Yes. Charges incurred by unforeseen circumstances outside your control such as sickness, accident, retrenchment, strikes. Cancellation of annual leave by your employer, includes Travel Agent fees and reimbursement of frequent flyer points. - Are customers covered against terrorism?
Yes. Cover for Medical, Luggage, Accidental Death and Loss of Income
